I passed my driving exam!!!

I wished so much to get the driving license and now I have solved the exam (practical part) about 12:10 (more or less). Well, I have gone to exam with other girl who hasn’t passed the exam. She committed a mistake in a roundabout, invading the preference of a van which was circulated in it, so the examiner said her to stop. Then I took the steering-wheel and made the correct adjustments (mirrors, seat and belt). I had to drive in the sector of my Secondary School (Instituto), so I knew the zone perfectly, in spite of the cars in double row, and near to Juan Pedro's house (an old friend), the examiner told me to park. I did it more or less right and then he said me to go to the DGT (Dirección General de Tráfico, the Traffic Examination Point). Driving-teacher (Ana María) was so serious about us, because I ran a bit (but always in the limits) and had a rude driving during the exam (understandable so I was very nervous) but I had an acceptable control of the vehicle at all moment.

After that, the examiner told us the qualification. María knew it but I had doubts about it, even though I believed in the result (everything depends on the cult figure of the examiner). He was so cool with his old-fashioned dark glasses and his DGT coat. Then, Ana said the final result and María started to cry so I only could outline a shy smile. Due to my joy I forgot my exam justification and I had to ask for one in the Driving School. Yesterday, company told me a lot of apologies because I wanted to take the day-off for give a class before the exam.

Now, I have new projects in mind and this week I will start to prepare them. Nowadays, the most important is improving my English so I will search intensive courses in these days.

Have a nice weekend. Cheerio!!

One week for my driving exam!!!

The day has come… but I’m not afraid of it (just now). Well, I want to give it up and I expect to do it good next Friday. I’ve waited to do it a lot cause of the several teachers I’ve had. Besides, they don’t want you go too early to exam, because they lose money, although I wasn’t assured about it until three weeks ago.

By the way, I had to tell you that the company has changed my contract to do 8 hour per day (a full-time job). But now I’ve a lot of problems going to driving school and English classes, though I can arrive just at time (almost as the famous Japanese organization system). However, when I solve the driving exam, I’ll begin to search another job because there’s no opportunity for me after the task I’m just doing (update the main documents) will finish. For now, this task is here to stay… almost until the end of the contract’s date.

PS: I was very glad to read the comment of Tomi. I thought this web was forgot in the web for everybody (overall certain people). Times changes the way of life and customs, day by day, and this blog is a test of three years of changes. Read and check it (if you can read in Spanish).

Cheerio!

Wednesday-off in Madrid.

As you know, today’s the fair of La Almudena, the Patroness (Mother of God) of the City of Madrid (only the city) and flocks of cars invade the commercial centres. Today’s another extra-day for purchasing and passing the day in Xanadú or visiting the nearest IKEA. I won’t wish to give publicity of those sites, but it illustrates what it’s a reality: shopping is most extended hobby in our society (we’re voracious consumers, as teachers told us in the Faculty of Economics). Everybody love to buy clothes, food, drinks … or simply to go out and this is a good day for satisfy these pleasures, needs or addictions, according to your point of view.

But the poor people who work today have the worst part (like Loco or my friend Rafa, who have their job out of the City of
Madrid). They’ve supported an extra traffic jam to go and come from their jobs, and the typical people who only take the car on weekends (called domingero in Spanish). Today I’ve given my driving-class and it has been incredible the enormous number of vehicles in the streets and roads of my town (Móstoles, in the south of Madrid), where there isn’t day-off.

By the way, I expect to do the driving exam soon. I’m fed-up with the classes and I think I have been prepared since several weeks ago. And I need more time for studying my English, because, as you can read, I have to coming along with it faster (if I want to carry out with my plan). Thanks to God I have got more time for dedicate to it.

Well, bye-bye everybody.

Blessed Weekend!

I would not want to blaspheme but I needed a pretty rest at home. I want to use this weekend for ending some books and magazines (I don't know if I will get it) and, besides, for seeing some films (almost one). I also wanted to cook a Wellington Sirloin (speciality of Salamanca) but there wasn’t any one in the butcheries of my town (that I visited), so perhaps I’ll try to do something special tomorrow (but I haven’t any idea of what). I’ll have to look for in Internet.

Firstly, I tell you that my new job is quite good (good for the moment, of course) and I work calmly. I've learned some aspects of market surveys but, the best is it permits me to do other occupations in the evenings. I've got many unfinished questions yet.

In the other hand, you can see the recent changes of the web. I wanted to improve it and, besides, to put commentaries for friends and visitors. My wish was to improve the page and to give a similar aspect. I know that the visits will be scarce but my main goal is maintain your English while you read the weblog. Of course, you can comment in the language you want.

However, the problem is the scarcity of relevant news to publish. We live a very lineal life (outside of work) and I’m losing my contacts day by day. It’s normal but it’s quite sad too, isn’t it? (I’m not sad or depressed but it’s the reality of life). Moreover, other bloggers were “retired” (like Loco or Enfermo), and people don’t have much time to write or read these weblogs.

Well, I wait your comments.

Bye everybody.

What’s up folks?

I didn’t write anything since some months, as you can see in the dates of the last writing (if it can be called thus).

And, why am I writing in English? Very simple: while I write this letters, I practise my writing English. I’ve got some grammatical mistakes in my conversation (overall with prepositions). Moreover, it’s possible that a lot of Anglo speakers can read this weblog. I’m improving my English step by step, and I’m thinking about an intensive course after I obtain my driving licence (but not in Pueblo Inglés, because it’s very expensive for my economy).

Well, now I’m working in a multinational company that makes market surveys (specialized in Supermarkets, Hypermarkets and Perfumeries). As Luis knows, I did a job interview near his house, and I’m working there since last Thursday. Now I don’t work in the other job. I only work in the mornings, from 9:00 to 14:00, so I’ve got much time for study English and doing my driving classes. I’ll be there for three months, enough time for improving my level of English and for looking for an appropriate job (appropriate in several things).

I also want to change the template of the weblog because it’s clearly neglected. I’ll choose a new template as base of a new and personal one. I don’t know how much I can write here, but I’ll try to tell you about me, myself and my world… I don’t want to be histrionic because I only write about conspicuous news.

Bye-bye everybody.
